Ok, so I was on style.com today and saw this in a slide show. I knew I had seen it somewhere else, but I forgot where. Luckily, I remembered! The apartment we stayed in during our visit to Paris was owned by an Italian couple. They had this interior design magazine from Italy in my bedroom, I looked through it and viola! I saw the watch. I remember it caught my eye instantly. How cool is it to look at the time and have a pair of rose gold eyes staring back at you?! Anyway, I thought that it was a really cool watch! I love the color and details. Chopard makes it so God knows how much it costs, but hey it's cool to look at!

Why is the belt so awesome? First of all, there is a freaking lion head on it, it doesn't get much cooler than that. Lions are courageous, loud, majestic, and most importantly, carry themselves with pride. This is by far the most interesting belt I have ever seen. It's been out for a while and I continue to see it pop up here and there, but today I was especially drawn to it. Talk about a kick ass touch to an outfit!

The Wayúu Tayá Foundation was founded in 2002 by Patricia Velásquez. You're probably wondering, "Now what in the heck is a 'Wayúu Tayá'?!" Well, the Wayúu are an indigenous group of people from the the Guajira Peninsula (borders of Colombia and Venezuela). The Wayúu, or Guajiros, live in the second poorest place in Latin America (Haiti being first). They have avoided European acculturation over the centuries. Women are the center of the family in Wayúu culture. One of the most important parts of culture for women is the weaving of Susus, or "bags". To the Wayúu, this is a symbol of wisdom and creativity. The Wayúu Tayá Foundation's mission is to "To help improve the lives of Latin-American indigenous people while maintaining and respecting their traditions, culture and beliefs." Their objectives include: programs improving life quality, community centers, and work space. I bet you're thinking, what does this have to do with fashion? The Wayúu Tayá Foundation sells "Susu" bags that Wayúu women have woven. When you purchase a one of a kind bag, all of the proceeds go towards the Wayuú indigenous people. The hand woven bags range from $140-$160. All of them are really cute, original and the greatest? help a great cause! To find out more visit http://wayuutaya.net/

wedge-tasticFashion Trends & Styles - Polyvore

Summertime is here...finally. I know that the last thing all of you are wondering is "What should I wear?" because you have been planning what to wear since the RTW S/S 2010 shows. I won't ruin your excitement, however, I do insist that you go out and buy a pair of wedges if you don't have any at the moment. "Wedge"-what a beautiful word. When I hear this word I do not think of portions, sliced fruit, or shoving an item into a small space...I picture beautiful, towering shoes. Wedges come in many different shapes, heights, and materials. My favorite at the moment is the wooden sandal wedge. What could be better this summer than a sturdy sandal that gives you height? Nothing-that's why the wooden wedge is the way to go. When I was younger and I heard the word "wedge" I thought of espadrilles and tacky cork shoes. Thanks to Alexander Wang, Alaia, Diane von Furstenberg, and many more there is more room for the word "wedge" in my brain. I now picture artistic sculptures with elaborate wood carvings and leather detail. There is a new Wedge in town so go out and wear it!

le rocco
Dear Rocco,
I cannot take my eyes off of you. Why are you so beautiful? Tell me why you look so good! You come in different colors: rich camel, light gray, and glossy black. I cannot pick a favorite so I guess I'll have to take them all! I think I'll have to take you allI want you to become my duffle. Tell your daddy Mr. Wang that I will put you on my arm everyday. Rocco, oh, how I love you so!

Alexander Wang reinvents the iconic Rocco bag in duffle form. I am sure that all of you have seen, heard of or perhaps own this marvelous tote. The bag is the new must have, the colors are perfect for any season! The camel one comes in a wavy stitched leather with ridged silver studs on the bottom. The gray one is a mini version with rich stamped leather and a silver studded bottom. The most wanted black duffle is a mini as well (however, longer in body) with black stamped leather and glossy black studs along the base. The bag is a great way to add edge to any kind of outfit.

Picture this! Who would have thought that the place where you carry your camera could be a stylish accessory? Hmmmm....they're small and perfect for the go! These compact bags holds enough to fit a cellphone, some cash and a tube of lipgloss. I don't like big bags, especially when I'm just going around town. Mini camera bags are a great staple for any casual and chic outfit. Of course who wants to accessorize with a small bag that says NIKON on the front? No one. Urban Outfitters carries a canvas bag in two prints. Also, Alexander Wang makes leather and suede ones in a variety of colors. Or if you're lucky maybe you can get your hands on a vintage one!
